This Site Will Tell You If Your S.O. Is on Tinder
It's now easier than ever to catch a cheating partner—if their chosen method of cheating is Tinder.
Dating apps are a risky way to cheat in the first place, since there's always that possibility of showing up on your significant other's friend's screen. But now, Tinder cheaters are even less able to escape anyone's notice. For $4.99, the service Swipe Buster will tell customers if and when someone was using Tinder based on their name, age, gender, and location. Someone needs to tell this woman that this exists.
If you're worried about your S.O. going on Tinder, though, your relationship probably has bigger problems than Swipe Buster can solve. But hey, maybe you could also use it to figure out if someone you just met at a party is single. The service's creator told Vanity Fair that his motives actually had more to do with technology than romance, though. Swipe Buster is only possible because Tinder's database and programming interface are publicly available, which poses a security threat. Apparently, by exposing how insecure the app is, the creator is trying to force Tinder to take greater security measures. In the meantime, though, a lot of suspicious people will be taking advantage of how Tinder was built.
